Serious Sam series modding

Serious Sam is a series of classic-style FPS games, somewhat resembling games of old, but still being its own style. In many ways, it was a Boomer Shooter decades before that became a thing!

Most of my modding and mapping experience comes from creating content for two titles, "Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter" and "Serious Sam 3". My most notable works were "The Forgotten City" campaign for HD (unrelated to the game with the same name) and "Serious Sam 3 Extended" which is a sort of "fan-patch" for the game, alongside the "New Enemy Packs", which provided new enemy variations and even new enemy units for other modders to use.

The one showcased here is my final modding work, "Serious Sam HD: Extended" for the game with same name. The idea was based on the "fan patch" I made for Serious Sam 3, but it was also meant to be an extension for the game with completely new levels and story. Unfortunately, at the time I didn't know scope too well, which ended up the project having way too big plans for way too little time. The new levels suffered a similar issue, many of them being way too long and feeling way too much like needless filler. This was a lesson I carried forward to future works.
