Cancelled FPS Game Project

Due to NDA, I cannot talk specifics about this project that much. I was given permission to post my work on it in my portfolio, as long I don't mention specifics.


At the time at Croteam, this was my main project, working 4 years on it. Alongside a fellow level designer and an environment artist, this project was worked on by a team of 3, with additional help from the main team when possible (like concept art). The project was cancelled in favor of Croteam's then flagship project, Serious Sam 4.


Blockout Progress Showcase

These images show an area starting out as a blockout first, after an initial inspiration by a concept art (provided to us by one of the main team's concept artist at the time), then its progression to a more defined area. Unfortunately, it was never finished, though got close.


Showcase Screens

These images were specifically taken to showcase more complete areas to the main team, or even potentially to the public. They also show experimentations with the new Terrain system that was added to the Serious Engine at the time (also extensively used by Serious Sam 4).

Additional Layout Plans
